Mediterranean group & workshop

Description
Vision
This research workshop is devoted to the stages and aspects of the Mediterranean, seeking to develop a new Beit Midrash model to deepen our understanding of Mediterranean society and Jewish culture in all its forms.
The interweaving of mystical, philosophical, and ritual sources with rabbinical and "maskilic" material will also lead to the inclusion of other Mediterranean cultures and Arabic, French, and Spanish sources.
Activity
The students will be sent out on reading missions that will create a new interweaving of philosophical sources from North Africa and the Maghreb down to Egypt with unique rabbinical sources in an attempt to collect and present the peculiar character of the Mediterranean.
